The state will pay to bus teachers from merged schools. In 20 years, Ungheni district has lost 19 schools and nearly half its pupils
Teachers left without a school when their institution is reorganized will be bused to their new workplace at the state's expense — a measure the government approved on 24 June. It sounds technical, but it hits a nerve in a district like Ungheni: over two decades the number of schools fell from 65 to 46 and pupils from 20,121 to 11,171, and in 2026 the gymnasium in Buzduganii de Sus was shut down. Transport solves staff mobility, not the 73 teaching posts still vacant.
